MMG Weekly Recap 3/20/20

by Bill Bodnar, on March 20, 2020 at 2:37 PM

Mortgage Market Guide's recap of what happened this week and why.
This week we look at the stressed MBS market and how it is causing sharp market movements.
MBS are not in demand like the U.S. dollar or the 10-year Note, and the market is not functioning correctly at the moment, which is exacerbating the price/rate movement. Share with your clients that the Fed is being aggressive to try and fix it. It is impossible to forecast where rates will level off and they will level off. Keep in mind the saying "don't fight the Fed." If they are committed to helping the MBS market, they will help it.
Find out what this means for you, your partners, and your borrowers in this week's MMG Weekly Recap video:
